“I’ve had an interesting in woodwork, craft design and technology, and lathes since being at school. Neil gave me some training & helped me get back into woodturning and lathe work. Neil is very patient and is a fantastic teacher!
From turning a basic wood keyring on the first day, I’ve gotten into woodturning and have (with Neil’s excellent help) started to build a successful small business making pens just one year later.
Most of all woodturning is a brilliant hobby and incredibly addictive – whatever type of woodworking or turning you decide to focus on you will enjoy it and find it really therapeutic.
Neil’s knowledge of woodworking and woodturning is incredible, and he always has time to explain things and make learning an enjoyable experience, his facilities & teaching workshop are second to none – feel confident you will get a great experience if you book a course with him.”

Another great day spent with Neil, a very enjoyable couple of days spent learning new skills and techniques. with these new found skills I feel I’m ready to go back to my own workshop and put them into practice.
Gotta say I really must recommend Neil to anyone wanting to take their turning to the next level such as me, I’ve been wanting to move forward onto bowls boxes etc from doing just pens for ages, not feeling confident in this, thanks Neil (and of course Ali for the wonderful lunches)

| Really, really enjoy myself. I found Neil very informative, adaptive and responsive to all my needs and questions. Very nice man. Will hopefully be booking another session with Neil once I get up and running and I have already recommended him to a few friends. |
